While working as a chauffeur in Denver, Colorado, Kimble reluntantly covers for teenager Lauire Ryder after she dents her father's car. But Kimble flees after discovering that Laurie was involved in a hit-and-run. After learning Kimble's idenity, Laurie's father, Dr. Mark Ryder, summons Gerard (along with the entire Kimble file) to Denver where he introduces Gerard to the 2130, a computer that can help capture the fugitive by determining a pattern to his travels. As the 2130 makes progress, Kimble's new travels all over the country end with one close escape after another with the police.

Goober goes on vacation and can't find anyone to replace him at Wally's Gas Station. His new sweetheart, Flora, who used to work at the diner is now available to fill in for him. Business booms while he is gone and she ends up with Goober's job after he quits. Flora becomes obssessed with increasing business at the station and doesn't notice that Goober hasn't been able to find anything else. It takes Andy's country logic to make her realize that she needs to have her priorities straight and make sure her sweetheart is happy!

Things keep going from awful to good grief for poor Ethel Andrews. First she's left at the altar by her fiancé, Bruce Strickland, who also let's her take the blame for a $50,000 securities theft since her signature was on the transfer authorization. Ethel decides to leave town but nearly has an accident with a car driven by Peggy Sutton. Peggy, it seems, is on the run from a hired killer. Ethel foolishly agrees to swap identities with Peggy but then Peggy perishes in a car accident. Ethel then finds $50,000.00 in the trunk of Peggy's car and makes the mistake of informing Bruce Strickland who turns up murdered. Perry sends Paul Drake up to Lake Tahoe to find out about Peggy Sutton but it might be too late because the noose is getting pretty tight around poor Ethel's neck.
