Perry has all sorts of troubles in this one including a client who takes a shot at him. It starts when dim bulb prizefighter Duke Maronek gets into a fight with Art Grover over pretty model, Sharon Carmody. Duke believes he killed Grover with his bare hands. Perry discovers that a vagrant, who stole a wallet from the corpse, has been charged with the crime. He quickly gets the vagrant off the hook only to discover that Duke has disappeared. It is Sharon Carmody, the model who is up for a big assignment, who holds the keys to Duke's whereabouts and what really happened on the night Art Grover died.

Darrin finds out about how Barkley started this whole mess and decides to cancel the Robbins account. At Robbin's office, while Darrin is telling Robbins and Barkley where to go, Samantha uses her magic to expose Barkley and gets him fired. One down, and one more to go when Samantha goes to Leach's apartment and destroys everything with her magic. When Leach finds out, Samantha twitches him to Mexico. Leach vows that he will be back....

Smith realizing the same could happen to him, the increase of intellect, boards the spaceship. His trip, however, ends in his rapid aging and subsequent impending death. To make matters worse, the owner of the spaceship has returned to take the vehicle back, stranding Will and Dr. Smith in their altered state.

Commissioner Gordon appears to have been assassinated during the opening of a new bridge. A copy of Hemingway's 'For Whom The Bell Tolls' nearly blows up the Batmobile. Both incidents are clues to the Bookworm's latest scheme. Batman and Robin interrogate The Bookworm's henchwoman Miss Limpet but deduce she is leading them into a trap. And while Batman intends to walk right into it, it is Robin who falls first.

Kimble, working as a bartender in a local diner, becomes involved with waitress Susan Cartwright. But their growing romance is complicated by the arrival of Susan's orphaned nephew Gary, who is trying to break into a small group of local boys. When Gary recognizes Kimble from growing up in Stafford, Gary tells them of his find and they decide to capture the fugitive with a rifle they purchase from a magazine ad. Meanwhile, Susan's social worker, Mr. Shaw, investigates Susan and her ability to raise Gary, but then focuses on Kimble.
