With Aunt Bee off visiting realtives and Opie away on a Scout trip, Andy is home alone. He is ready to spend a relaxing evening when Goober arrives to keep him company. He insists on making his special spaghetti recipe. Andy gives in, eats heartily, and then is reminded by Goober of an invitation to Howard's for dinner. Andy goes to see Howard, who did not actually invite Andy at all. They still whip up some spaghetti and eat, but then Andy realizes dinner was a Helen's. He rushes over, but is in hot water for being late so he must endure another dinner of spaghetti.

Later, a radio update reports that the Board of Inquiry has cleared the Skipper of the charges, as the Weather Service mistakenly read the wrong forecast that morning causing the crew to be unaware of the impending storms.

Athena the girl from the green dimension who hypnotised Dr Smith during thier space flight arrives on the planet. She still is in love with Dr Smith, which he uses to bribe her to help him see the future. However, he promises to go back to the green dimension with him, and when Athena's previous suitor arrives and turns Will green, Dr Smith must find a way to save himself and Will. Urso, Athena's suitor challenges Dr Smith for the lady, customary in the Green Dimension, and after seeing the future, Dr Smith fears the worst. Athena realises he cannot be with her, and leaves with Urso, but not before Urso restores Will's colour.
The Mad Hatter has escaped from prison, and is on a quest to add Batman's cowl to his collection of hats. He attends Gotham City's annual headdress ball disguised as the Three-tailed Pasha Of Panchagorum, and snatches a large ruby off of columnist Hattie Hatfield's headdress. The villain makes a getaway, but not before turning Batman's cowl pink with a radioactive spray. He trails Batman to the Atomic Energy Laboratory, knowing he will have a chance to snatch his cowl when it is removed for decontamination.
Stacey is forced to kill a man who tries to rob him. He returns the body to the man's sister who asks Stacey to leave rather than see the Sheriff. She is afraid their younger brother who joins the Shiloh cattle drive will try for revenge.
While hopping a freight train, Kimble meets a wounded criminal who demands to take him to a rendezvous point in the hills of Southern California. Kimble reluctantly does which is an isolated cabin in the deep woods where they are joined by three more men whom happen to be robbers of an armored car who demand from the criminal their loot. Not believing their accomplice's true story that he lost the money when it fell off the train due to his gunshot injury, the three robbers hold Kimble, a widow named Laura Craig, as well as a park ranger who happens by, while torturing the man for the location of the money.
