Before leaving their planet, the Robinsons meet a boy alien called J-5. They take him with them to return him to his home planet. They meet a strange ship, which turns out to be an earth ""lighthouse"" for lost ships. Thinking this ship will help them with extra fuel and star charts they celebrate, however when J-5 learns that they don't have enough fuel to take him home, he angrily sets about to destroy them all with a creation of his imagination. J-5 begins a new life at the lighthouse, and the Robinson's leave in the knowledge he will be looked after by the kindly, old lighthousekeeper.

When John offers them higher prices, the ranchers refuse to sell because Dolf Tanner has threatened to kill them if they do. John and brother Buck try to force the ranchers to sell by refusing them watering rights, as they drive their herds toward Tanner. But Tanner strikes back by giving Apaches new rifles and urging them to kill the Cannon herds.
Willy kidnaps Princess Amara, wife of the king's brother Fasar, who knows nothing of his brother's slave racket. They put Amara in the duplicate cell and then Rollin-as-Borca tells her she will be sold at the next auction. Jim delivers Cinnamon to Borca, and then they dress up a sedated Amara as Cinnamon, and Barney and Willy switch her for Cinnamon. Rollin, masquerading as an Interpol agent, convinces Fasar to go to a slave auction that Borca is holding. Disguised, the men watch as "Cinnamon" is put up for auction. Fasar reveals himself and Amara's disguise is revealed. She tells her husband of the slave cells. Borca is killed and Fasar puts an end to slavery in Elkabar.

Satisfied that the Mach 5 is forever submerged in Lake Icy Chill, the Mammoth Car drivers resume the race. Through his telescanner, Speed sees them leave as he reaches soil. Trixie sends a message in the homing robot to Inspector Detector. The stolen gold is aboard the Mammoth Car. From his plane, Cruncher Block sees the Mach 5 on the road. At the refueling station, Speed and Trixie are fired at. Escaping into a mining tunnel, they jump on top of a speeding trolley car, which crashes. Meanwhile, at the refueling station, Spritle and Chim Chim sneak out of Cruncher's plane. They, too, escape into the tunnel, which turns out to be Cruncher's headquarters. There, Speed and Trixie are tied to a trolley loaded with three tons of dynamite. Ultimately, Racer X arrives and saves them. At the next checkpoint, the Inspector searches the Mammoth Car. Again, he finds nothing. Speed reaches the checkpoint; Spritle and Chim Chim slip out to hide in the Mammoth Car.
Trixie wins the position of Speed's assistant in the No Limit World Race. Before the race begins Inspector Detector and his officials search each entry looking for $50 million in stolen gold bars. The Mammoth Car enters the track. Cruncher Block gives the Inspector a tour, yielding no trace of the gold. The race begins. The Mammoth Car forces everyone off the road. Speed is suspicious. To discover the Mammoth Car's secret, he equips the homing robot with X-ray film able to penetrate metal. Unfortunately, it's shot down and returns broken. The Mammoth Car catches up to Speed and forces the Mach 5 off the road. A ramp is lowered and a squad of motorcyclists descends onto the track. Racer X appears and spritzes oil on the road, causing the cyclists to crash. Meanwhile, at the airport, Spritle and Chim Chim stow away aboard Cruncher Block's plane. Back on the track, the Mach 5 and the Mammoth Car collide and both veer off the road toward a forest.
