Lamont has decided to go in on a partnership with Julio in a used auto parts business venture and Fred becomes convinced that Lamont is abandoning their junk business. Against the whole notion, Fred decides he's not going to stay where he's not wanted and gets a bed at the local mission. Lamont and Julio cook up a scheme in order to lure him back to his home.

Sketches include a visit to the tourist office of a country behind the iron curtain, there is an explanation about symbols used on television, there is a visit to the Limerick Clinic for a bad back, there is performance by a guitar duo, we hear that Ronnie's wife has won two competitions, and the main production this week is The Regiment, which is set in Rawlpore, India. The performances in this episode are by Pan's People, who perform a dance routine to "Yesterday", and the singer Elaine Delmar.

The Country Fair has come to Walton's Mountain. Grandma has entered a quilt in the competition. Ben sells a pig for the greased pig contest and Olivia's old suitor, now politician, visits the fair.

While wandering in Mexico, Caine comes across an old woman and a young boy. The woman is trapped under a cart and asks Caine to take care of the boy. He takes him to a small Mexican village which believes it is under the spell of a warlock.

A flute-playing "Pied Piper" (played by Ricky Nelson) talks teenage girls into prostitution, then disposes of them when they are no longer convenient. Stone's daughter helps him break up this murderous prostitution ring.

The Commissioner's niece makes a bet that she can sleep for one night in the master bedroom of a haunted house, then disappears without trace. The team decide to stay the night as well, but the Chief also vanishes. He finds himself alone, surrounded by ghostly figures, sinister statues and whispered messages, whilst Ed, Mark and Fran try to find out where he has gone.

Tony's girlfriend is apparently run down in a parking garage, but nobody will give him a straight answer as to which hospital the body was taken. When a mysterious uncle suddenly claims the body, Tony suspects something is awry. The investigation spells D-A-N-G-E-R when somebody tries to kill Tony by knocking him out and setting fire to the barn he's in.
Gunsmoke

Kitty and Matt are off for St. Louis, until Matt is summoned back on business. Upset with him, Kitty sets off for herself meeting a gunslinger on the stage who ends up saving her life. He goes back to Dodge with her and proceeds to court her. Kitty has a hard decision. Leave Matt after 18 years of a relationship or stay with Stambridge.

Jill Danko is seriously wounded by a seemingly demented gunman while dining with her husband Mike. Later, they find out that the gunman is unable to be prosecuted in court, because he is suffering from a brain tumor which appears to be the cause of his action. The rookies take it upon themselves to prove the man is dangerous and can place society in jeopardy.
Super Friends

An alien from the plant Solar Terrarium moves the Earth out of its orbit and closer to the sun so his people can move from their own freezing planet. However, this causes destructive heat waves. The Super Friends are told by the government's leading scientist that a strange new wave of magnetism is drawing the Earth from its orbit toward the sun. They must discover what's causing the increased magnetic pull and stop it. The alien is stopped by the Super Friends and guest hero The Flash.

Keith does not have a date for a party after the popular girl at school declines his date request, citing another date, so Laurie sets him up with one of her friends. The next day when the popular girl's plans fall through she belatedly accepts the date with Keith. Now he has two dates for the same party.
