A little girl named Wisp comes to a desolate dark land to save it. She is on a mission to find the ""sphere of light."" She ends up getting into a creepy forest. Running out of it she runs into a little creature known as Twink. They eventually team up to get away from the creepy monsters. While on their journey to find the ""sphere of light"" in the castle, they end up in the way of a contraption that makes people into ice statues. Twink gets half frozen and Wisp still drags him along. Lighting strikes the ground, making big lava that the duo run away from and burns off Twink's ice. After getting away they find a beautiful horse statue. A vulture attacks them and to Wisp's amazement, his heart is beating. The horse then comes to life and saves Wisp from the vulture. They fall down a cliff and they land on the horse's back. Another shock is that he can talk and that his name is Starlite. Meanwhile, Murky and Lurky are sent by the Evil One to stop Wisp. Starlite tells Wisp about a legend
