Alison accepts Billy's explanation about his date, but breaks up with him again when he wrongly assumes that she is moving to New York. He follows her back to Los Angeles and surprises her with a marriage proposal. Sydney presents her blackmail demands and moves in with Michael.

When everyone tries to tell Jesse what kind of man Stavros is, Jesse refuses to believe them. The Smash Club is the setting for Stavros's latest scam, in which he says that a severe mudslide has occurred in his hometown in Greece and he is raising money at the Smash Club for his hometown's recovery from the mudslide. Becky and the girls discover that there was no mudslide, and that Stavros plans to take the money -- and Becky -- on an airplane flight to Florida with him.

After a rugged flight through a mountain canyon, MacLeod learns that the baby is in fact Hoskins' son, taken by Sara in retribution for her own child, killed by runoff from Hoskins' mines.
