Season 5, Episode 10
As penance for a careless accident he caused, Hetty orders Davey (he and Dora who Hetty is looking after for the afternoon) to perform three good deeds. The first is directed toward Jasper. Davey is the cause of yet another accident in Jasper's laboratory, but one that helps Jasper create a new unbreakable ceramic-like material. Olivia thinks that Jasper should patent it and use it for widespread purposes. The only person who Jasper believes could assist financially and with business expertise is his black-sheep cousin Jeremiah Dale - he being the black sheep because he went into business. However Jasper does not want to ask as he has not spoken to Jeremiah in over twenty years since Jeremiah made his life miserable when they were growing up. Looking remarkably similar to each other, Jeremiah used to pretend to be Jasper while wreaking havoc. Without telling Jasper, Olivia decides to ask Jeremiah on Jasper's behalf, a move which doesn't sit well with Jasper. Olivia, Jasper and Jeremiah have to reconcile their feelings if there is any chance of Jasper's invention making a mark in the world. Jeremiah's plans are to seek investments of $8,000 to make the business fly. But Jasper and Olivia have no idea what Jeremiah's exploits have been in the past twenty years. Those exploits ultimately direct the success or failure for Jasper, Olivia and the investors of what Jeremiah has coined "Jasperon Incorporated".

After being insulted by a boy named Kenny, Michelle decides that she wants to be in the annual downhill soapbox derby championship, and she gets Becky to help her build a soapbox car. Michelle feels like dropping out of the race when she hears comments about how girls shouldn't be in the race. Becky talks Michelle into not quitting, and the elimination heats begin. In the final race, it's Michelle against Kenny, who has never lost a race -- and Kenny gets what he deserves when Michelle races past him and wins the championship. Meanwhile, Stephanie gives Joey ballet lessons as a way to help Joey improve his skills in ice hockey, and Joey ends up accidentally ripping the seat of his pants.

Maggie and Wayne pick up Kim from school to bring her down to the station for questioning about the entries in the diary. Meanwhile Wayne is having flashbacks over his shooting incident as he spots another blue vehicle abandoned at the side of the road. Wayne approaches the car and and orders the young woman to get out of the car and put her hands on the bonnet. Two criminals stop an armoured car, trying to break in. They bring with them a strange ray weapon, but grow impatient and raise the volume. The armoured car blows up and one of the criminals are killed. Lambert watches the news and recognizes the weapon from the future. He goes undercover as an agent from the board of Alcohol, Firearms and Tobacco, recovers the weapon and interviews the surviving criminal, but the criminal doesn't know who sold them the weapon. Lambert has an idea who made the weapon - a weapons inventor from the future. But before he can do something about it, he is attacked and left for dead. The weapon is stolen. When Lambert recovers, he comes up with an idea of how to reach the inventor. But the inventor and an associate is waiting for him, with a 21st century gauntlet ready. Can Lambert reach them?

Tom Jennings, Dorothy's son, shows up in Loren's store one day when Mike and the kids are there shopping. He's a Civil War Veteran with an old war injury -- his leg was almost blown off. Dorothy asks Mike to treat him when he complains of pain in his seemingly healed leg. She gives him a syringe of morphine for the pain, not noticing his blissful expression. Mike invites he, Dorothy and Loren to dinner. During dinner, Colleen develops a crush on him. Sully's suspicion is piqued when Tom leaves and he forgets to use his cane. The next day, Tom returns to Mike, telling her his leg hurts. She treats him, but denies him her last vial of morphine, which she's saving for an emergency. Later that day, Loren catches Tom slipping a vial of patent medicine from the store under his coat. When Dorothy confronts Tom, he replies that the pain just got to him, and complains that Mike won't give him any morphine. Later that night, he goes out and tries to mooch free drinks at the saloon. Eli Jarmel, an old man whose family was destroyed by Drake, urges MacLeod to recant his promise, while Beth Vaughn, a reporter, puts her life in danger by investigating both Drake and MacLeod.
