The gang heads over to London for Ross and Emily's wedding. Joey can't contain his excitement about London which annoys Chandler to no end and results in two of them arguing. While the guys are touring the city, Monica, together with Ross and Emily, visit the chapel where the wedding ceremony is supposed to take place only to find out that it's being torn down prematurely. Phoebe tries to warn the gang that Rachel is coming to London to tell Ross that she still loves him. After the initial excitement about visiting England dissipates, Joey begins to feel homesick, however, one of the bridesmaids helps him to forget about it. Meanwhile, Ross and Emily's parents get into an argument over the bill for the wedding.

Rachel forgets her passport, but is soon on her way anyway. Chandler and Joey make toasts as the parents squabble. A drunken Chandler and Monica sleep together. Phoebe talks to Joey and warns him. Monica and Chandler act awkwardly around each other. The bridesmaid distracts Joey and Rachel sneaks through into the church. Ross is surprised but Rachel doesn't tell him of her feelings. Monica and Chandler decide to meet later.

She tries to keep it a secret, but after Nigel gets drunk at the party, he tells Maxwell, just as Fran comes out of the cake in a surprise for him (after Sylvia confessed that Morty cancelled his wedding and ran off with the cake girl - Sylvia!). Fran and Maxwell have a fight over it, and they end up calling the wedding off, until C.C. (under the influence of Prozac) tells Fran that Maxwell didn't spend 5 years ""doing the one man show"". So Fran gets Marla Maples, who had a quick fling with Maxwell a year and a half ago, and confronts Maxwell. They finally realize they love each other and call the wedding back on.
Mrs. Louder calls Drew to tell him he's been chosen to coordinate hiring for the new stores in Europe. The catch is Drew has to get to the boardroom within 10 minutes to secure the position. The universe seems to be against Drew's success as numerous obstacles, including a broken elevator, an irate customer, and a blocked staircase, get in his way to the boardroom.
