When strange things start to happen (the credit card Mac gave them turns evil, the car he lent them explodes) the girls deduce that someone is after Mac. As they follow clues to find out who the unseen assailant is, the girls soon discover it is Mac himself (he’s really a rogue WOOHP agent named Tim Scam). Mac’s plan is to use an Evapo-Blaster -- a device he developed when he was at WOOHP -- to dehydrate all the earth’s water. But first he must get rid of the spies -- just like he’s gotten rid of Jerry! In the b-story, the girls grow sick of the way Jerry is treating them and wish they had a new guardian.

They eventually discover that Makeda, the Queen’s jealous sister, is the kidnapper -- and she wants to keep her sister from signing a peace treaty with neighboring Kenyopia so that a twenty-year war between the two countries will continue and she (due to a deal she made with the General of Kenyopia) will become Queen. Can the girls stop Makeda and get Tassara to a peace summit in Geneva before it’s too late? In the b-story, Clover and Mandy compete for the title of Homecoming Queen.

If the demons can remain on the Plateau for two days, they will permanently replace the explorers, and Kayle will be free to bring chaos and destruction to the world. However, her concerns about Bosco’s mental and emotional health cause her to fail, and this angers Fred, and he storms out of the house. But later, he sees Faith comforting a sobbing and weeping Bosco after Bosco admits that he couldn’t go back to the World Trade Center towers after they fell down.

Jimmy and Dominic join the West Los Angeles Tribe of Indian Scouts, and meet their tribemates: Chief Carl Blumkin and his son, Kevin; Great Star and his son, Bright Star; and Talking Rock and his son, Running Rabbit. Even with his own cute Indian nickname -- Red Fox -- Jimmy's sense of humor doesn't fly with the others. Since he dreads scouting and Greg, a decorated child scout, loves it, Jimmy agrees to let him be surrogate father to Dominic for the next meeting. That way, he can have his own meeting... on the couch with a Cleveland Indians game. The others are impressed by the many feathers Greg earned when he was a scout. And since he happens to have more of them than Carl, he's made new chief. Jimmy's relief turns to jealousy when he finds out Greg drove Dominic to school. The previous evening Sinclair is seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident, and everything suggests that Gina is responsible. Sylvia and Linda are singers in a band, and to ensure that nothing untoward happens their father hires Vernon Scripps to drive them to and fro when they have a gig. But the loud music soon gets too much for him and David has to take over. The two girls soon discover that David is a real push-over in the hands of young females.
