When Zim’s headquarters are having security problems, Zim attempts to upgrade the security system and get the job over with. He decides to put Gir in charge of ensuring nothing goes wrong while he replaces the computer’s AI, but when Gir begins to mess around with things, he inadvertently causes the house to shut down along with himself. However, Zim soon discovers that Gir’s AI has been uploaded into the central hub of the house, which worries Zim quite a lot since Gir is being unresponsive and uncontrollable, which soon puts their mission in jeopardy.

Billy's mother, Gladys, first notices Grim in Billy's bed, then in the shower and subsequently starts to get panic surges thinking that Billy is in danger. Meanwhile, Harold, Billy's dad, just thinks that Gladys is imagining things. In the end, Gladys ends up going living with Billy's aunt, Sis to try and calm herself down.

Billy's pet hamster, Mr. Snuggles, celebrates his 10th birthday, so the Grim Reaper comes for him. However, Mandy, Billy's friend, is reluctant in allowing it, so she proposes a deal to the Grim Reaper: if he beats the kids in a game, he can take the hamster, but if he loses, he will spare the hamster's life and become their "best friend forever". The Grim Reaper transports the kids to limbo, where he challenges them to a game of limbo. Despite his best effort, Grim ends up losing because he is attacked by Mr. Snuggles at Mandy’s command.

Zim finally finishes one of his self proclaimed brilliant inventions, a space-time-object-transfer device, in which he plans to send a giant robot into the past in order to put an end to Dib once and for all. However, when the robot isn’t compatible with the temporal field, he throws a rubber pig into the vortex instead, which turns out to be compatible and it causes Dib to crash his tricycle in the past. Zim decides to send many more rubber pigs into Dib’s past, which ultimately affect him in the future; though when Zim overdoes himself, he discovers that history isn’t something that should be messed with.

When Gordo is working with Ethan at the Digital Bean, Lizzie and Miranda keep trying to horn in on the action and end up spilling drinks all over the guys' papers. Gordo gets mad at them and suggests that they aren't smart enough to help him tutor anyway. The girls get angry right back at him and leave. Meanwhile, Matt and his friend Oscar are looking for something exciting to do. They decide to become ""super heroes"" Matt Man and the Incredible Oscar. They go around the neighborhood in costume trying to do good deeds, but all they do is annoy the neighbors.
