Denny was devastated to learn from Sylvia that her mother had died and was moreuspet when she discovered that a birthday card among her mothers things was faked, by the Julies. Crystal was finally released and was met at the gate by Josh and baby Zandra, and a present from Di to make up for the things she had done in the past. Snowball told Jim that there was a planned breakout...but that it was Yvonne who was planning it!

But when the terrifying reality of the French Revolution set in, nature was recruited by the patriots.

Whilst on a routine check of the bugs in the Turkish Embassy, Zoe and all the other people in the embassy are taken hostage by terrorists who wish to negotiate the release of their parents from prison. If Zoe's cover as a PR consultant is blown she will almost certainly be killed. Things worsen when Harry realises that the attack on the embassy was all just a distraction from something much, much bigger.

Athelhampton Hall near Dorchester dates back to the Middle Ages and fell into disrepair as a tenant farm. It was then restored back to its original state by The Cooks who have lived there ever since. Once in the property, Derek connects with the spirit of a dead monkey, a pet of the previous inhabitants. Whilst walking around upstairs the crew all hear a cot rocking, but nobody is in the bedroom! The crew split into two groups and when the boys venture into the passageway where the monkey died, producer Karl feels something breathing on his ear... Meanwhile Yvette, director Bev and Jason keep a vigil next to the cot and catch orbs on camera.

Jeremiah and Kurdy are sent to contact an elusive group led by a mysterious "Steve" but get captured. One of his captors is Michelle, a woman he met (in flashback) back at his empty home five years ago after his brother died. They were intimately involved back then, and we find out she's the one who gave Jeremiah the idea for writing notes to his dead father. In the present it turns out "Steve" is Michelle. Her operation is working heavily to get knowledge out, and she also has a 5-year old son. One guy accuses Michelle of skimming and the guys follow her and find out she's collecting art, and agrees to work with Thunder Mountain. Then Michelle comes back to lay down the law on the guy who accused her of skimming and the guys head out with as Jeremiah and Michelle think about getting together in the future.

The two Julies went on trial for GBH and watched as Rhiannon testified against them...they got 8 years. Yvonne and Cassie discovered that Snowball wasn't really a Hollywood actress - she was the star of numerous porn films! Babs confessed that it was her fault that Shaz was shipped out because she had confided in Henry, who had told Neil. Jim seemed to be getting very friendly with new inmate Snowball and Sylvia was annoyed when she was told to phone hostels to search for Jessie Devlin, Denny's mother.

A tenement building explodes and the lone victim is Joseph Haden. The building was rent controlled and there had been a tenant strike, so the police initially suspect arson. But the landlord doesn't have insurance, ruling out their arson theory, and the medical examiner discovers that Haden's neck was broken and he was tied up before the explosion happened. Trying to figure out Haden is even more difficult. He didn't appear to have a family or a girlfriend and never got any substantial mail. He worked at the Jiffy Job service station making minimum wage, yet had $90,000 in the bank. Briscoe and Green do some more digging and find out that Haden was using an alias, and his real name was Yusuf Haddad.

The girls investigate the disappearance of the California State Cheerleading Champions, The Honeybees. They have to deal with homicidal (sort of) cheerleading robots and come up with their own routine as the "WHOOP-ettes". In a B-story, Mandy rivals Sam into winning the Spelling Bee.

Homer starts a security company with Lenny and Carl after the police are ineffective during a blackout, and eventually Mayor Quimby decides to have them replace the police. Homer finds that he excels at the job, but then he runs afoul of mob boss Fat Tony, who threatens Homer with death unless he leaves town.
